When Tom Bercaw opened the doors of InsulTech on
January 17, 1994, a magnitude 6.7 earthquake rocked
Southern California. The event was to be an omen: this
company would literally shake the foundation that the
insulation industry was built on.
Starting out by offering custom insulation products for the
purposes of heat containment, fire and component protection
and standard emission requirements, InsulTech quickly grew
to include a full line of acoustical and thermal solutions for
a wide range of industries.
Tom always felt he could give his customers more… “more”
in terms of service and “more” in terms of innovation!
Anyone visiting InsulTech’s headquarters and main facility in
Santa Ana, California, comes away impressed with the divergent,
yet complementary atmosphere… Because of the sunny,
Orange County location, the casual work environment is part
of the ambiance… Even though the workflow is handled in a
“button-down” meticulous nature in keeping with the ISO 9001:2000
qualification, Hawaiian shirts and thong footwear are acceptable
as inspired by Tom, a longtime “SoCal” surfer.
